As I said in my latest journal, this is the start of a new series of pictures I'm doing based on my top ten most memorable videogame boss fights.
First up is this one: Ganondorf vs. Link - final boss battle from Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker.
To be honest, I could have done this same one for any of the Zelda games but Wind Waker was my absolute favourite. Not only did I love the artistic direction the game took (as opposed to the standard Anime hero style Link), but I just loved the game in general.
Oh yeah it had pirates too. Pirates rule.
Hand drawn in pen/ink.
Coloured with Watercolours and Photoshop CS.

That is sweet! It looks like Ganondalf is going to kill Link.

If I can say five things about myself is that: 14. I am clever and humorous. 8. I am always friendly. 93. I am very energetic. 64. Even tough I am 19, I don't act my age. And 5. I can't count for my life.
Awesome concept for the series of drawings, like this one, I'm sure they will all be stunning. Nice capture of motion with the background, definitely makes the boss intimidating. Thanks for using our stock in such a cool piece of art
I have to agree, that was a GREAT boss fight... and I thought the story was fantastic. Though it had what people called "child friendly garphics" It still had a darker undertone.
*sigh...* I love Wind Waker...
A postive plus fave.
