It's a new entry to my Video Game Boss Battles series! After about a year!

Seriously I did the lineart for this in summer 2008 and even started to colour it. But I wasn't happy with the colours at first and decided to come back to it when I felt like it. To be honest, back then I doubt I would have got the colours quite so good anyway, I've probably had a bit more practice on my technique since.

Well you know how it is, sometimes things left on the backburner get left for some time!

Anyway I'm sure you'll all agree that Lara Croft vs the T Rex from the original Tomb Raider is one of the all time great Video Game Bosses. When it first appears the general reaction seems to be "Oh Shit!"

I initially wanted this to be more of an action piece but all the ones I did looked too similar to my "Kratos vs Hydra" picture so I thought I'd take a different route instead.

Hope you all enjoy anyway. It took forever to colour in!

I like the way the T-rexes eye is slanted downwards, it draws the focus on Lara and gives the scene an intense feeling.

I certainly remember this. How long ago was since it was released on the psone? 12 years?
Don't mean to pick fault as it may be me but is Lara's outstretched leg a bit short? Hmmm when I turn my head to the side it looks fine...

Oh Shit indeed...I remember my first encounter with 'Rex' just killed to raptor-things and was just thinking "Raptors? What's next a T-..." and then I was like "a Deer in the Headlights " of an 18 Wheeler. I Stupidly pulled out the Lara's 45's and started blasting away at range at 'Rex' course, in range I mean pointblank range. I continued till he raised up(and therefore too late) to bite down on poor Miss Croft. Good thing I just saved prior to entering his domain. After that I reloaded my save and ran for cover/high ground as soon as Lara's feet hit Rex's (feeding)grounds. After getting pissed at having him dog me to every cliff/cubbyhole, I unloaded 5 to 10 shotgun rounds into his face and numerous .45 rounds till the beast was an ugly over sized doormat.
