Part one of a series of collaborations with

He approached me wondering if I'd be up for some collab work and we eventually decided to reinvent the characters from cheesy 90s show Captain Planet and the Planeteers. Instead of straight up fan art we decided to make them a bit older and slightly over the whole "save the world" thing.

All I did was the lineart but Mike knocked the ball right out of the park with the colours, turning what was a pretty generic icy scene into a nuclear winter. I salute you!

Anyway here's Linka, the girl from an unspecified Eastern European country who had the Wind power.

After leaving the Planeteers, Linka went back to her frosty homeland to live out a normal life. But when she returned she found that it had become a place that had become overrun by crime and corruption, with Soviet mafiya calling the shots on the streets. She was picked up by a human trafficker and forced into prostitution. Life was grim.

But after a few months, Linka used her Wind power to create a snowstorm and she escaped; fleeing the country and heading for Russia. She knew what she had to do - she would wander the frozen wastelands of Russia searching for stockpiles of nuclear waste, gathering all she could in order to enact revenge on her homeland that had nearly killed her.
